Admissions

CO-OP Education
All students complete two semesters of co-op, working for a company in the industry of their major.  This experience gives students a huge edge when applying for jobs when they graduate.

Co-op Quick Facts

Who - All full-time day students pursuing any of Wentworth’s majors.

What - Two required co-op work terms in your field. A third co-op job is optional.

When - After completing two years in your program, when you have gained enough experience to be hired for meaningful, professional work.

Where - Anywhere—Boston, your hometown, or wherever you find the right position. Recently, students have worked in Australia, China, France, Ireland, Japan, Scotland, and Taiwan, as well as throughout New England, the mid-Atlantic states, Arizona, California, Florida, North Carolina, Texas, and Washington.

Why - Between 35 and 40 percent of Wentworth’s graduates typically accept permanent positions from their co-op employers. Everyone builds knowledge that becomes an invaluable credential.

Tour/Visit

When you are actively recruited by Wentworth, the next step in the process is visiting campus. If you are a current junior in high school it will be an unofficial visit. This type of visit includes a Campus and Admissions Tour, attending a class, lunch with the team and a meeting with the coaching staff.

If you are a current senior in high school it will be an official visit. This type of visit includes a Campus and Admissions Tour (if you haven't already done so), attending a class, lunch with the team, observing a practice, dinner with the team and a night spent in the dorms. We try to schedule visits around our game schedule so you will also hopefully attend our game the next day!

If you are visiting WIT on your own, please email us to let us know that you will be on campus. We will try to meet with you if we are available.
